Stimulus Tax Payments for Customers Who Filed Their Taxes at One of Our Locations
We regret the inconvenience you may have experienced during this event. We know your money is important to you.
We have been advised that the IRS may have sent stimulus payments to the account on record from a taxpayer’s last filed return. For some of our customers that purchased a tax refund bank product, payments may have been inadvertently sent to your temporary tax refund account through our bank partner, Metabank. In these situations, funds were returned by Metabank to the IRS. We apologize for the inconvenience this situation may have caused you. Please understand that Security Finance has not received any of these funds, and we do not control this payment process or have any influence on it.
We believe that in the haste to deliver stimulus payments as quickly as possible there may have been some miscommunication between the IRS and its distribution chain. Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience and appreciate your business. Everyone is trying to do their best during this difficult time.
