SPARTANBURG, August 17, 2021: As the American Red Cross continues to support communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, Security Finance and their Lending Hand Foundation, a member of the American Red Cross Disaster Responder Program, is contributing an additional $30,000 to help fund a new community vehicle in support of Disaster Relief. The donation will help the Red Cross update its fleet so team members are able to respond to disasters immediately and safely.

Being a Disaster Responder member, Security Finance’s ongoing support of the Red Cross in advance of disasters, including home fires, helps ensure the Red Cross is on the ground providing communities with food, emergency shelter, relief supplies and comfort.

“While this pandemic continues, we are so grateful to Security Finance for their ongoing support of our disaster relief operations,” said Rod Tolbert, the Regional Executive for the Red Cross of South Carolina. “Funds generously donated by Disaster Responder members and by the public are essential to our ability to fulfill the mission of the Red Cross – a mission that is vital to so many communities.”

“We are delighted to continue our partnership with the Red Cross, helping people in times of need.  This is just another way that Security Finance supports the people and communities we serve.  Our mission is to offer quick and easy solutions to financial needs, but our desire to help our fellow community members is at the heart of everything we do,” said Heidi Bolton, President of Security Finance.

Each year, the Red Cross responds to more than 60,000 disasters down the street and across the country, including home fires, hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes and wildfires. Donations from Disaster Responder members like Security Finance enable the Red Cross to prepare communities for disasters big and small, respond whenever and wherever disasters occur and help families during the recovery process.

Individuals can help people affected by disasters by making a gift donation to American Red Cross Disaster Relief. Donations to Disaster Relief enable the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from disasters big and small.
